Vitro Inc, Kyndryl Boost Hybrid Cloud Strategy of PH Banks and Conglomerates

At its recent Nexus business forum, VITRO Inc., a subsidiary of ePLDT and the data center arm of the PLDT Group, emphasized the crucial role of adopting a 'cloud smart' strategy. This approach leverages both cloud and data center services to ensure business resilience for banks and conglomerates. 

The forum addressed the pressing demands and challenges facing enterprises today. According to the 2023 Kyndryl State of IT Risk Report, 88% of financial organizations experienced adverse events disrupting their IT operations over the past two years. These disruptions included IT hardware and network failures, human error, and data center outages. Additionally, the 2024 Enterprise Cloud Index study revealed that 90% of enterprises are integrating a cloud-smart strategy into their operations. Despite this, challenges in IT operations continue to threaten business resilience, prompting the need for a hybrid cloud strategy to optimize and secure workloads.
