Xbox is celebrating the first anniversary of the PC Game Pass launch in Southeast Asia (SEA) on April 19, 2023. The service has been a tremendous success in Asia, with notable growth and achievements over the past two years. The most popular games in SEA markets are Multiplayer Online Co-operative Games, such as Grounded and Sea of Thieves, which are cross-platform. Game Pass members have doubled in Asia, and over 12 million achievements have been achieved by SEA Game Pass gamers.
The service has evolved since its launch, providing players in the region with better visuals, immersive storylines, and exciting gameplay. New releases such as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Ghostwire: Tokyo has been added, along with upcoming fan-favorite Minecraft Legends. The recent partnership with Riot Games also unlocked in-game content for PC Game Pass members. With one year of PC Game Pass behind us, Xbox is not slowing down, with Redfall from Bethesda Game Studios and other games continuing to prove that PC Game Pass is one of the best values in gaming.
To spread the joy of gaming, Xbox recently announced the Xbox Game Pass friend invitation for current Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members to give friends a 14-day PC Game Pass trial. Xbox is committed to making gaming fun and accessible, as well as improving the gameplay experience for its Southeast Asian players. In line with this commitment, Xbox is launching the Xbox Wireless Controllers in SEA, expanding its accessories catalog.
Jeremy Hinton, Asia Business Director at Xbox, said, “We’ve come a long way since we launched the PC Game Pass in SEA a year ago – this first anniversary is a celebration of all the support that Xbox has received from our SEA players. We remain committed to improving your gaming experience here in the region and this is why we are so excited to bring in new accessories to the region and to continue making great games available with PC Game Pass. Beyond that, we are also committed to supporting local SEA developers through our ID@Xbox program. We want to empower gaming developers to create local and unique games to their culture.”
Xbox is thrilled with Southeast Asia's vibrant gaming community and looks forward to growing with the community in the years to come. To learn more about the PC Game Pass, visit this link.
