One of the highlights of the showcase was the announcement and launch of an unexpected new game from Tango Gameworks called Hi-Fi Rush. This rhythm-action game is now available through Game Pass on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Minecraft Legends, developed by Mojang Studios in partnership with Blackbird Interactive, will be released on Tuesday, April 18. This action-strategy game has a story-driven campaign where players can explore a world filled with treasures and perils, reunite with familiar mobs, meet new mysterious characters, and strategize with allies in epic battles against the piglins. Minecraft Legends will also introduce a PvP mode, which is a first for the Minecraft series. Players can work together in teams of up to four to collect resources, build a base, and lay siege to their opposition’s forces. Minecraft Legends will be available on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5|4, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.
Forza Motorsport, developed by Turn 10 Studios, is set to be released in 2023. This racing game is the most technically advanced and authentic racing game the team has ever made and is built to take full advantage of the Xbox Series X|S consoles. Forza Motorsport will be available on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC this year, and will be available as part of Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, including Cloud Gaming (Beta). It will feature an incredible new online racing mode and an all-new car-building-focused single-player career.The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom, developed by ZeniMax Online Studios, will be launched in June. This Chapter update will return players to the alien lands of Morrowind and will introduce fans’ most requested feature: a new playable class, the Arcanist. The Arcanist will bring new abilities and mechanics and marks the third new class introduced since the game launched. Starting today and for a limited time, a free trial for ESO Plus will make all past Chapters (excluding High Isle) and past DLC available to any players with the ESObase game, including those playing through Game Pass.
Redfall, developed by Arkane Austin, is set to launch on May 2. This first-person shooter game is set in the bloody streets of Redfall, Massachusetts, and will feature open-world gameplay, vicious vampires, player customization, psychic Vampire Nests, and much more. Players can pre-order the game and receive bonuses, and there's also an upgraded Bite Back Edition, which adds a Hero Pass for future additions to your vampire slaying roster, outfits, weapons, and more.
In addition to these games, the Xbox & Bethesda team also announced that they are working hard on a standalone show for Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield. Fans can expect to see more from the Xbox & Bethesda team when they return to Los Angeles for their yearly Showcase this summer.
