40 of those dashing film makers joined the said invitation, to create and direct a film with a unique ingredient and that will envision the Precious Hearts Romances Pocket Books. Student and Film Enthusiasts submitted all their great entries just to be one of the finalists and hoping to enter the competition.
After a long and agonizing review of those films that were submitted, only 10 were chosen to be shortlisted.
The judges from PHR have chosen unique concepts and out-of-the-box ideas that could still maintain the romantic personality of Precious Hearts Romances have embodied.
From their pitches, 5 applicants and a "wild card" were granted a much-coveted spot. They each were given 15,000 php to produce their own respective films before August 12, 2016. This September 3, at 2pm, the 5 films that were created by the 5 finalists of the Precious Hearts Romances: "Precious Pelikula" will be screened for the fist time and be uploaded online, as the the readers and movie goers will be called to vote for their favorites.
The Top 3 winners will be awarded at the Manila International Book Fair on September 18, 2016 with cash prizes of up to 100,000 php. So, if you love the version on the paper, it's now time to see it for reel.
