“Our goal is to provide public safety personnel with the ability to send and receive critical information whenever and wherever necessary,” said Kalyn Sims, vice president of Intergraph’s public safety products. “BlackBerry devices are the mobile platform of choice for many agencies. With Mobile Responder for BlackBerry, these agencies can securely access I/CAD in the field on devices that match their technology deployment strategies and workflows.”

“Intergraph’s Mobile Responder is an integral application for many of BlackBerry’s key customers, particularly in law enforcement,” said Martyn Mallick, Vice President, Global Alliances and Ecosystems. “The law enforcement community has rigorous requirements, including a highly secure and reliable device; with the addition of Mobile Responder to our suite of applications, the BlackBerry platform is well-suited to meet those needs.”

In addition to BlackBerry devices, Mobile Responder is also available for iPads, iPhones and Android smartphones and tablets. It can be used independently or in conjunction with Intergraph's Mobile for Public Safety, a full-featured extension of I/CAD on laptops or Windows 8 mobile devices.
Originally developed in conjunction with New Zealand Police, Mobile Responder has been proven in the field. New Zealand Police deployed more than 10,000 devices featuring Mobile Responder to 6,500 frontline police. Mobile Responder helps New Zealand Police increase productivity by 30 minutes per shift, which saves 520,000 hours each year and effectively puts 345 more police on the streets. Over 12 years, the mobility program will help New Zealand Police save NZ$300 million.
