Owners of older Windows Phones will be happy to know that Microsoft
is finally seeding the latest Windows phone 7.8 update for their
devices.
The Windows Phone 7.8 update was previously halted
due to bugs with the newly introduced Live Tiles on the homescreen.
Users were reporting poor battery life due to a constantly active
internet connection by the active tiles on the homescreen.
It seems that now these issues have been patched up. If you have
previously updated your phone to WP 7.8, then consider this a bug-fixing
release for your phone.
The current Windows Phone 7.5 users however will finally be able
to enjoy some new visual features, carried over from Windows Phone 8.
The official WP 7.8 release log mentions the Live Titles, some new UI colors, and an updated lockscreen.
